Questions about the TEAS
Everything students ask us about the ATI TEAS 7 and about how our practice tests work.
- How many questions are on the TEAS test?
- The ATI TEAS 7 has 170 questions across four sections: Reading (45), Mathematics (38), Science (50) and English & Language Usage (37). You get 209 minutes in total, and each section is timed separately.
- Are all 170 questions scored?
- No. 150 questions count towards your score and 20 are unscored pretest items that ATI is trialling for future exams. You are never told which is which, so treat every question as if it counts. Our practice tests work the same way.
- Do your practice tests match the real exam?
- Yes. Every practice test is a full-length simulation: the same four sections, the same question counts, and the same per-section time limits as the real ATI TEAS 7. A calculator is available in Mathematics and Science, exactly as on test day.
- What happens when I finish a test?
- You get an immediate score breakdown by section plus an overall score, then a question-by-question review showing your answer, the correct answer, and a written explanation for every item.
- Can I pause a test and come back to it?
- No, and that is deliberate. Each section runs on its own clock and submits automatically when time runs out, because practising under real time pressure is most of the value. Take a test when you have a clear three and a half hours.
- How many times can I take each test?
- Each test in your package can be taken once. That keeps your score meaningful, because retaking a test you have already seen tells you very little about how ready you actually are.
- What score do I need to get into nursing school?
- It varies by programme. Many associate degree programmes look for around 60 to 70 percent, and competitive BSN programmes often want 75 percent or higher. Check the requirement for the specific schools you are applying to.
- Can I get a refund?
- No. All sales are final. You receive every question, answer and explanation the instant you pay, and digital material cannot be handed back — a refund would simply be a free copy of the product. This is why we give away a free ten-question test and answer any question before you buy. Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time and access runs to the end of the period you have paid for, but payments already taken are not refunded.
- Do I need to install anything?
- No. Everything runs in your browser on a laptop, tablet or phone. Your answers save automatically as you go.
